Everyone with kids warned us that babies grow insanely fast and you should always buy bigger than you think you'll need. That by age six months, Eliah will actually be wearing 9 month outfits and so on.
With that in mind, we didn't really buy more than
a couple outfits that were labeled "newborn" size. We went straight for the 0-3 month size. (I know, I know -- you would assume that tbe zero in the latter range includes newborn. But you'd be wrong).

We're talking pant legs at least six inches too long and sleeves cuffed five times before we can find her fingers. And don't get me started on the hats. We had a great outfit all picked out for the "coming home" ensemble, but once we got her into her sweater jacket and hat, you couldn't actually see her at all. The sweater came down to about her ankles and the hat covered her entire face. Poor dear.
