For our baby doc appointment tomorrow, I've been given a bottle of electric orange liquid that I have to drink 30 minutes before we see the doctor. Apparently it's to let them check my blood sugar levels for gestational diabetes.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it's nasty. My doctor was noncomittal -- "um, it's not too bad." Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
The great thing about this bottle of flourescent stuff is that is comes with recommendations about its consumption. Right there on the side it says "recommendation: serve chilled." Well la dee da. I'll just pop it in the wine cellar.
