Svelt

I was so excited yesterday. I was searching for something to wear and pulled out a pair of pre-pregnancy jeans...And They Fit! YAHOO! Let's here it for the skinny mom, I thought smugly.

That's the good news. Sadly, those pants gave me a false sense of self-confidence. I had forgotten that that particular pair were my "fat pants" -- bought on a day I was feeling chubby and somewhat bigger than the rest of my pants.

So today when I went to put on a different pair for church, I was saddened when they wouldn't button. So I tried another pair. Zip-able but too tight to sit comfortably. Five pairs later, I was forced to accept the fact that the pair that fit was the exception rather than the rule.

But I'm getting there. I've lost 28 of the 43 pounds I gained with the Squishter. So we press on and perhaps in a few weeks I'll be able to wiggle into more clothes.
