Lessons from Tummy Time

All the books say you should make sure that you do some "tummy time" with your infant every day -- i.e. put her on her little tummy and watch her thrash about for a while. Apparently this helps her strengthen her neck and other muscles and ultimately prepares her to crawl.

What the books neglect to mention, or else I just ignored, is that if you put your baby down on her tummy just after feeding her, she will almost certainly barf.

Now we know.
