Last night Ellie slept through the night (nine hours) for the first time in three weeks! Let's all join together in a rousing rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus, shall we? You start, and I'll join in after I've completed my Happy Dance.
I definitely credit Ellie's day care experience with her improved sleep. Her teachers reported that she napped very little at the center. She was too busy making friends with the other babies (by staring at them wide-eyed), and getting to know the teachers (by staring at them wide-eyed), and taking in her surroundings (you guessed it -- by staring at it wide-eyed).
It's what she does. But it left very little time for sleep and by the time bedtime rolled around, she was totally exhausted. Fingers crossed that she repeats last night's performance tonight!
The only downside to the day was that her teachers misremembered when she last ate, which meant she was hungry on the ride home, which meant she screamed nonstop for the second half of the drive. Ah the joys of commuting.
